I attend homebirths in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I serve Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe, Luzerne, Lackawana, Columbia, Upper & Central Bucks, Upper & Central Montgomery, parts of Wyoming, Pike, Wayne, Berks, and Schuylkill counties. I am working towards my certification as a CPM. I also offer waterbirths. I am a traditional homebirth midwife specializing in holistic care. I also offer complete woman care.

I am a former medical assistant and emergency room technician, former medical assistant, and am currently a Direct Entry Midwife specializing in Homebirth. I have been a birth doula and childbirth educator since 2004 and have completed two years of midwifery school in addition to an internship in Africa and in the Philippines and several short-term apprenticeships. Jennifer McFarland is a former Medical Assistant and Emergency Room Medical Technician.Jennifer is certified as a labor and birth doula through Childbirth International. She is certified in neonatal resuscitation and is a student midwife through Ancient Art Of Midwifery Institute (http://www.ancientartmidwifery.com/).  She also studied homebirth midwifery for 2 years under Joanne Dozor, CPM, RN at her school in Media, PA, taking her Art Of Midwifery I & II courses. In 2004 Jennifer completed a Midwifery Internship in Senegal, Africa, where she assisted as a secondary midwife at births. In the summer of 2008, after completing a short term apprenticeship with a local homebirth midwife, Jennifer went to the Philippines for even more hands on experience as a primary midwife. Jennifer is a Certified Happiest Baby on the Block Instructor as of June 23, 2005 and offers classes in this wonderful baby calming technique. Jennifer also offeres traditional childbirth courses, iCare Pregnancy courses, and Imagery Birthing Childbirth Courses (she is a Certified Imagery Birthing Instructor).
